Our Pure Mineral Oil is tasteless, odourless, clear while both Our Pure Mineral Oil and Pure Beeswax are food safe, so ideal for chopping boards, wooden bowls, cheese boards, bread boards and all kitchen and dining utensils. As a food safe protective coating they can be used on anything made from wood, slate or stone.

Application
Pure Mineral Oil and Pure Beeswax are quick and easy to apply.
For the Mineral Oil, apply to the clean, dry surface using a folded paper kitchen towel or a soft brush. Leave for a minimum of 2 hours and wipe off any excess. Ideally leave to dry overnight. Then buff with a clean paper kitchen towel or a clean soft cloth for a silky sheen finish. To maintain the best, complete finish use our Beeswax to provide a protective layer.
For the Beeswax, once the mineral oil is dry, rub the block over the surface of the material ensuring a good layer of wax is evenly spread over the area treated. Leave for a minimum of 2 hours and wipe off any residue. Ideally leave overnight to fully dry and buff up using a clean paper kitchen towel or a clean soft cloth.
Coverage & Storage
Coverage will depend on the surface being treated but a good rule of thumb is 250ml of oil will cover around 25sq meters (270sq ft). Store the oil at room temperate and make sure to use within three years.
